Hi, I am Christine Waugh-Fleischmann. I am a longtime resident of Charlotte but I was born in Detroit and went to school in Jackson at Lumen Christi! I have four beautiful grown children, a son and three daughters, and three wonderful sons-in-law. Between all of them I am blessed to be a grandmother of eight and just recently a great grandma of one. I am so proud of them all!
I have been in art education for 42 years teaching everything from pre-primary level to college level classes in Design and Painting. I have taught in Battle Creek for St. Phillips, in Charlotte for Community Ed and for the Charlotte Public Schools, Olivet College, Spring Arbor University and Lansing Community College. Of course St. Mary School is my favorite!
I have a BS in Education from Western, and a Master of Arts in Visual Arts Education from Eastern Michigan University, MAVAE- that’s a mouthful! I have run two state conferences, spoken and been published nationally written programs and grants for the CPS and many other community programs including the Charlotte Public Library.
I’ve been a member of the St. Mary family since 1981. We raised our children here and they are all graduates of St. Mary Elementary School.
I am blessed to be part of St. Mary School.
